Student Fellowship Winners

The Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism has provided SPJ with scholarship funds for five SPJ student members from any school to attend the Excellence in Journalism conference. The following students were selected to receive scholarships to attend the Excellence in Journalism 2017 Conference in Anaheim.

Rutgers University's School of Communication and Information interviewed Megan after she won a Columbia University fellowship to the Society of Professional Journalists' national conference in Anaheim, California.

Video Documentary on the History of Hip Hop and Civil Rights

Megan's final project in a Reviews and Criticisms class at Rutgers was accepted into Kairos Magazine, the university's online magazine of top journalism undergraduate work. Her video was published in the Spring 2017 report of "Living in Trump's America." More of her writing that semester can be found here.
